Meet the Team

  • Founder & Coach

    Kate started the company after recognizing a gap in the fitness industry when it came to sustainable results for women.

    She is passionate about building a healthy balanced lifestyle for herself and her clients. Favorite workouts include strength training, beach volleyball with friends, spin classes, and hikes with her two dogs. Kate is a small town mid-west girl relocated to coastal California where she resides with her partner Wyatt.

    Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Health Education from Illinois State University, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, and Certified Health Coach.

  • Ops manager & Coach

    Becca started in corporate fitness in Chicago (where she met Kate!) and has always had passion for fitness. In Chicago she personal trained and managed a gym for 4 years when she started wanting to get into the other major aspect of health she felt like she was missing with her clients - nutrition.

    In 2018 she went into nutrition counseling and in 2020 she decided to put her 2 passions together into whole health coaching.

    Becca lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband Dan and dog Henry!

    Qualifications: Bachelors degree in health education & promotion from the University of Illinois, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, and Certified Stress Management, Sleep, and Recovery Specialist. She has also done a year long mentorship where she learned more about all the issues that many women struggle with - thyroid issues, PCOS, Hashimotos, adrenal issues, and so much more!

  • Nurse Practitioner

    Brett  got her bachelors from University of Illinois and received her masters of nursing from Vanderbilt University. Before going back to school, Brett studied and taught yoga & bodywork. She loves all things integrative medicine related and enjoys teaching women so they can better understand their bodies, hormones, and individual needs.

    Brett is dual board certified in both women’s health and in adult-gerontology primary care.

  • Courtney Studied Dietetics at Illinois State University and got her Masters at Rush University. She currently is an outpatient dietician at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She came on at KBF in summer of 2020 and gives bi-weekly zoom calls about various topics and answers any client questions. She also consults on any medical issues related to diet. 

    Courtney specializes in adult gastroenterology

VIP Coaching

Our VIP coaching is a complete lifestyle transformation. We will teach you how to move your body in a way that supports your metabolism and eat in a way that you can sustain forever. With this style coaching you will get weekly habits, video check ins, accountability, all the resources you need, and motivation and support of a coach.

You will also have access to working with our Hormone Specialist through us who can order labs that you may need or recommend supplements.

Nutrition Coaching

If you feel like you’ve got the workouts down but just can’t figure out how to eat to reach your goals, then our customized nutrition coaching might be just what you need. You will receive a customized macro plan, grocery guide, cardio recommendations & video feedback to make sure you are on track to reach your goals.

  • I began my journey with Becca with an open yet hesitant mind. I had been consistently exercising (lifting, running, biking, yoga) for over five years, but I had plateaued and wanted to see some concrete results.   • Working with The Fit Method has truly changed my life over the past year. When I had my consultation call with Kate I was a few weeks into lockdown and feeling horrible about myself. I told her that my biggest goal was to feel confident enough to go wedding dress shopping later that year. Within the first few months of working with her, my attitude was completely changed and I started to feel really good about myself, even though there wasn't a dramatic change. At my dress shopping appointment I felt incredible and was able to feel completely comfortable with every style of dress and even picked one without sleeves which I would have never done before! Kate has not only transformed my body, but also my mind and my spirit.   • To say The Fit Method has changed my life would be an understatement! My outlook on health, nutrition, and overall wellness has absolutely evolved since starting with them. Before, I was working out 6 times a week with a combination of lifting, HIIT, Cross-Fit, and the occasional yoga class. I also had a huge fear of taking a rest day. I pushed myself to my physical limits all the time, but I was never happy with my physical or mental health. EVER.

    Another huge factor was my nutrition. I was a “weekend warrior”, and excess restriction followed by binge eating was pretty much all I knew. I tried so many diets and, nothing worked. There was no balance in my eating habits.

    Then, I turned 30 this past year, and I knew something had to change. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. Because of TFM, I now know what makes me feel my best.

  • I’ve been self conscious of my health and my body for as long as I can remember.   • In the past 3 months with The Fit Method, I’ve made more progress than the past 3 years on my own.
